About the Directory

Who We List

Insurance Appraisal Directory lists professionals who are actively involved in the insurance appraisal process. Our directory is not a general contractor listing or a broad home services platform. Every category of professional listed here plays a specific role in evaluating, disputing, or resolving insurance claims related to property damage.

The primary categories of professionals listed in our directory include licensed insurance appraisers, public adjusters who offer appraisal services, independent insurance umpires, and certified appraisal professionals who hold designations such as AUA certification. We also list appraisers who specialize in specific property types, including residential, commercial, auto and vehicle, jewelry and valuables, art and antiques, heavy equipment, and agricultural property.

To be listed in this directory, a professional must be actively engaged in the insurance appraisal field in some capacity. This includes individuals who represent policyholders or carriers as competent and impartial appraisers under the appraisal clause, as well as neutral umpires who are appointed to resolve disagreements between party-selected appraisers.

We do not list general contractors, roofing companies, or restoration firms unless those entities also provide insurance appraisal services as a distinct professional offering. The directory is intended to be a curated, focused resource for those navigating the insurance appraisal process — not a broad home improvement marketplace.

Professionals who do not meet our eligibility criteria during the review process are not approved for listing. If a listed professional's role changes or they become inactive, listings may be updated or removed.
