About the Directory

What "Verified" Means

When you see the Verified badge on a listing in Insurance Appraisal Directory, it means that the listing has been reviewed and approved by our team before being published. It is a signal that the professional met our eligibility requirements at the time of review.

Specifically, a Verified listing has passed a review of five areas: identity (the professional is a real, identifiable individual or business), professional role (they are genuinely involved in the insurance appraisal process), service area (they operate in the region they claim), qualifications (their stated credentials are plausible and consistent with the information provided), and general directory eligibility (they meet the standards for inclusion in this directory).

What "Verified" does not mean is equally important to understand. A Verified badge is not an endorsement of the professional's work, skills, or character. It does not mean we have independently audited their licenses or certifications with the issuing authority. It does not guarantee that the professional will perform to any particular standard or that you will have a positive experience working with them.

The Verified status reflects the state of the listing at the time of review. Professionals are responsible for keeping their information current. If a professional's circumstances change after approval — for example, if a license lapses or a certification expires — the Verified badge does not automatically update to reflect those changes.

If you have reason to believe a Verified listing is no longer accurate, please report it using our contact form and we will investigate promptly.
